Well, why am I not surprised? I finally got another response to my request for my dad’s service record. It was a letter saying that the file was removed from the “file area” in response to a prior inquiry (yeah, mine, six months ago) and they cannot find it now! They even “conducted an extensive search” and they still can’t find it. I am so unbelievably angry, I better finish this post before I say something I’m gonna regret….

The really stupid part of it all is that there was no reason to send my request back to me previously, because I really did provide everything required. So they should have just made a copy and sent it to me then.
