Well talk about busy. I won’t bore anyone with the details. I’m hoping to get back to the genealogical research soon. You know, doing something for me, instead of doing everything for everyone else. And laundry doesn’t count. I mean something I enjoy and it’s not absolutely necessary. Retirement looks so good right about now! Not soon enough to start a countdown, though, carp!

And I did actually look into Louisa’s parents a bit more before I had to put the research on hold. I had found three males in St. Charles county that were single in the 1870 census and the right age to be Louisa’s father, but in 1880 they were all still alive with families of their own and none included a girl named Louise/Louisa born about 1874. There are a lot more Wolf/Wolff/Wulf/etc families in St. Louis county, but that will take a lot longer to go through all the males of suitable age, so I’m going to put that aside for now and see if I can find some easier way to figure out Louisa’s parents.
